Everyone knows that breakfast is the most important meal of the day—but who are we kidding ourselves, most of us don’t have time to squeeze in a hearty breakfast! NO BUENO!
The solution to an easy and healthy breakfast are smoothies! Not only do they contain all the essential nutrients the body need, they are super easy and quick to create.
Here are my top 5 breakfast smoothies:
The Berry Smoothie:
The easiest way to think of this smoothie is to use any fruit that ends in –BERRY. Blend strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries in a blender with almond milk. YUMMY!
Banana Nut Blast:
If you love peanut butter, this is the morning shake for you! In a blender filled with almond milk, add a ripe banana with a spoonful of peanut butter. Using peanut butter is a great way to add protein to your shakes without using chemical-filled protein powders.
The reason why I call this shake the hulk is because one it’s green and two it has wonderful ingredients that make you strong! Blend coconut milk, mango, banana, spinach and a little bit of orange juice. Don’t be scared to try it! It looks weird but it taste amazing!
Eating vegetables is a struggle, however not when you disguised them well. In a juicer, add celery, carrots, green apples and oranges for a blast of energy. I don’t like celery yet I can drink this shake with no problema!
Who said you are too old to have a PB&J for breakfast? Turn your favorite sandwich into a quick smoothie. With coconut milk add frozen raspberry and a spoonful of peanut butter. Vuala!
