St. Ives Apricot Scrub {Blemish Control} Review

So I am a little pissed now....I'm 32 and still suffering from acne! Like wtf? I shouldn't have to deal with this past the age of 16! I'm twice that age now and my acne still comes in waves. I must say that for the most part, my acne has been behaving 80% of the time but it's so important for me to stay on top of it. Like I can't go one night without doing my full skincare routine. I 100% can't sleep with any kind of makeup on or go a week without cleaning my brushes. I have to stay on top of everything...if not, then hello blemishes!

I can totally write up a post about my full skincare routine but it'll be a very long one. Please let me know if you wanna know all the details. But I thought I would share my thoughts of a new beauty goodie. Well this isn't exactly totally new because I remember my Mom using this when I was a little girl. She used to love this scrub and I remember always seeing it in the bathroom cabinet. It's true that mothers know best and my Mom knew what she was doing with her skin all those years ago.

During a recent Target run, I was browsing through the beauty aisles when my eyes landed on this gem...St. Ives Apricot Scrub- Blemish Control. I believe it's the same as the original formula but this includes oil-free salicylic acne medications. It's 100% sulfrate and paraben free and made from natural exfoliants. It promises to prevent blemishes and minimizes pores. According to the package, you're supposed to use this one to three times daily. I personally use it only at time but you can totally use it when you wake up as well. I don't think I can ever use this 3x daily considering I never leave home without makeup so I definitely won't be rinsing my face midday! Hahaha. It does say that drying may occur so you can gradually increase or decrease the amount of times you apply this daily. For my skin type which is combo to dry, I would recommend only use this once a day. Honestly, I was shocked that this product can be used daily. I know you are usually told to use a scrub only 2 to 3x weekly.

I absolutely love the little micro-beads because they are very gentle on the skin but they really scrub and remove all the dirt and germs from your face. After I apply, my skin feels like a baby's behind and I have not one trace of dead skin. I truly feel like it's helping my acne as well as making my skin look younger! It also smells great and gets the job done really well. I am obsessed with scrubs and this is feeding into my habit!

After I use this, I make sure to moisturize and complete all the steps in my skincare routine. (Cleanser, toner, eye makeup remover, serum, moisturizer, eye cream, and setting mist.)

I paid $3.69 for this baby and it's worth so much more than that! It's truly a steal. I much prefer this to any department store find. During the hot summer months, I definitely don't want my pores to clog with all the sweat and makeup! It's also very important for me to scrub down my face after a workout. I want my face to be a pimple free zone!

Have you tried St. Ives Apricot Scrub? What do you think?
