IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Pressed Airbrush Silk Pressed Anti-Aging Finishing Powder Review from The Gossip Darling

Hello loves!! So if you follow me on Instagram, you know that I've been raving about this product. It has been on my wish list and when I finally took the plunge and ordered it, I was afraid I was going to be disappointed and the hype wouldn't be worth it. Thank goodness, this wasn't the case. This is the first IT Cosmetics product I've ever tried and I'm officially hooked!!

IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Pressed Airbrush Silk Pressed Anti-Aging Finishing Powder + Brush Review from The Gossip Darling

Let's start with my skin. My skin has definitely been my enemy this year. It has been protesting all of 2016. From combination skin to acne issues to dry patches, its been hard to take control over this situation. Soooo I've been extremely picky about what I put on my skin. It has to be good quality, adds benefits to my skin, and not clog my pores. (I don't want anymore breakouts!) I'm trying to be nicer to my skin so in turn, it can be nicer to me. Karma right?

When I first opened my package, I was pleasantly surprised. The compact is excellent quality and IT Cosmetics pays attention to even the smallest detail which didn't go unnoticed by me. Inside the box it reads, "You are beautiful, you are IT!". How sweet and inspiring is that? Also, you can't tell in my photos but the word IT is written on the mirror in black writing. Another nice reminder that you are IT! I love the amazing branding. Now let's chat about the actual powder.

IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Pressed Airbrush Silk Pressed Anti-Aging Finishing Powder Review from The Gossip Darling

I always set my makeup after application. I always use both a setting powder and then follow up with a setting spray. It's a super important step in my beauty routine because if I don't set my makeup, it will just become a melted mess after a few hours. I ordered this powder from QVC and it came with the Heavenly Luxe Wand Ball Powder Brush which makes a huge difference in the application. I have dozens of brushes and this brush is hands down becoming one of my favorites. I am going to write a separate post about it because I truly love it so much. It's so soft when it touches your skin but it's effective. With this powder, a little bit goes a long way. If you over do it, you will look too matted and pale. My advice it to start off with a little and then build. This powder is easily blendable but the key is a little goes a long way. The compact makes it super easy and fast to apply. I like loose powders but I much prefer a compact because it's less messy for us girls who love to run late in the morning. This doesn't leave powder all over my sink and hands.

IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Pressed Airbrush Silk Pressed Anti-Aging Finishing Powder Review from The Gossip Darling

Translucent is the only color offered in this powder so it's one size fits all. Again it's easy to apply, easily blendable, lightweight, controls the shine, and helps blend together your final finished look. (Between contouring and blush, sometimes I am left with lines. Once I set my makeup with this powder, it helps soften my look and connect all the different products I am using.) My bff Karen has oily skin and I told her to definitely try this compact so she can control the shine during the warmer months. It also comes with a sponge, so you can take it with you while you're on the go. This powder didn't settle in my creases like some have and I usually don't have to touch up at all throughout the day. I actually just ordered my second compact because I also want to keep it in my gym makeup bag just in case I have any emergencies.

Have you tried IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Pressed Airbrush Silk Pressed Anti-Aging Finishing Powder? If so, what did you think?

Spring 2016 Trends You Can Try Right Away

12:30:00 PM

Happy Monday darling!! I have an awesome guest post to share with you all. I am super obsessed with fashion and always love to follow the latest trends. Let's see what's happening this Spring....

Spring is easily the most fun season for any fashionista, keeping fashion goals in mind! You can do so much with your choices, and designers keep throwing new trends time and again. With spring 2016 now in the market, it is a good idea to check some of the fun trends that would be most wearable this season. Here are the best spring 2016 picks, you can try right away!

Smart with the shoulders
1 // 2 // 3
Smart with the shoulders: A lot of designers worked with cut-outs to accentuate the shoulder and it works big time, for the fact that you can create your own looks. The idea is to go for dresses and blouses that focus on the shoulders, and this is also a trend that would probably make a smart comeback for fall 2016. Some of the designers who have worked around the idea include big names like Giambattista Valli, Prabal Gurung and Preen. Check your regular brands, and you will find plenty of budget options too, making this a really easy trend to pick!

Stripes are Back
1 // 2 // 3 // 4

Stripes are back: Some time back, it was all about plaids, gingham and mixed prints. Come 2016, you will get back to the basics with stripes. Stripes work big time on any boring day, but in spring, you will be wearing bolder stripes – bolder colours and amazing combinations. Make sure that do check for everything, starting from dresses to blouses and pants – Everything work on the runways, and when you choose the right colours, you can be great at work and elsewhere. For some ideas, you can check names like Alexander Wang, Max Mara and DKNY.

Shifting the white shirt
1 // 2
Shifting the white shirt: If you need that one wearable trend of the season, it has to be the white shirt shift! The white shirt has been changed and completely redone for spring 2016, with use of new materials, embroidery and even cut-outs coming in the picture. With one of these shirts and a pair of denims and sneakers, you can kill any brunch with ease, sans those summer dresses. Just in case you are looking for ideas, you can check names like Anthony Vaccarello, Amanda Wakeley and Fendi among others. For cool summer sneakers, click here.

Love for lingerie-inspired dresses
1 // 2 // 3
Love for lingerie-inspired dresses: This is a trend that’s wearable for sure, but you need to take a call based on what may work for personal style statement. The idea that designers showed was all about bringing the lingerie-inspired designs, including the slip-in designs and materials like lace. This is a very practical idea, and although it might take some time, but there is no denying that you can experiment with designs and colours. Pull out those shrugs, if you haven’t used them in a while. Designers to check - Alexander Wang, Emilio Pucci and Calvin Klein. Happy styling!

The Perfect Red Lip

11:41:00 AM

Nars' Quito Lip Gloss and NYX's Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick in Kitten Heels from The Gossip Darling

Happy Easter to all those celebrating!! I'll be spending the day with my parents and my brother's family. My three nieces will be keeping me busy with Easter egg hunting! Can't wait for all the sweets and my Mom's special dinner! Woooo hoooo!

I love a good red lip. I find red lips to be so elegant, chic, stylish, and timeless. The 1920's is my favorite era and women were know for their red lips and nails. I personally love nothing more than wearing a great red lipstick, black eyeliner, and a fresh red manicure. I'm actually obsessed with black eyeliner and never leave home without it but that's a story for another time! Red lipsticks can sometimes be very intimidating to me. I feel like if you mess up the application, you can't get away with it and you'll definitely have to take everything off and start from scratch again. I feel like it's not as forgiving as a nude lip! BUT...nothing looks sexier to me. I'm currently crushing on two red lipsticks...one by Nars and the other by NYX which was a total surprise to me!

Let's chat about the details...

Nars' Quito from The Gossip Darling

Nars as a brand has been a favorite of mine for many years. When I first started looking for a red lipstick, I made a trip to Sephora and I went aisle to aisle looking at all the red shades each brand had to offer. I'm sure you can picture it now. My Mom and I hollering at one another saying "found a good one!" I didn't want a matted lipstick and was looking for a darker shade gloss. I ended up choosing Nars' Quito because it was a bit sheer and the shade was darker so it wouldn't be super overpowering. I liked this because I hadn't worn a red shade in so long and I didn't want to feel overwhelmed. Quito was just perfect. Every time I wear it, people take notice. It goes on super smooth with the applicator, is long lasting, doesn't have a smell, and adds just the right amount of color. This gloss is also moisturizing and has anti-aging benefits with is a pro for me! I would 100% repurchase this lip gloss. My Mom actually picked up this shade as well. I highly recommend you pick this baby up!

When I feel like spicing up my everyday look, I reach for my Nars Quito!

NYX's Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick in Kitten Heels from The Gossip Darling

Second red I'm loving is NYX's Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick in Kitten Heels. I received this product in my Ipsy March Glam Bag and it's hands down the best product I received in the bag. I shocked that I loved it from the first moment I put it on my lips and my love for it hasn't faded as a few weeks! It's extremely pigmented, lasts for hours, and doesn't budge. It's extremely easy to apply with the stick applicator so it great for applying when I'm on the subway. (You'll still need a mirror though because I'll never try to apply red lipstick freestyle!) This gem is $6.99 at Ulta and honestly...it's a steal. I would happily pay $40 for it. It's just as good as my Yves Saint Laurent lipsticks. Truly! I would consider this to be more of a date night lipstick because you'll definitely be making a super glam impression with the richness of this color. This lipstick comes in 12 other shades and I'm also purchasing the more nude shades like tea & cookies or soft-spoken. This brand will definitely become a staple in my makeup brand.

Personal Post about gratitude || The Gossip Darling blog

Hello loves. Hope you're all having a great week so far! I just wanted to share some personal updates with you all. Since I started my blog less than a year ago, I can't believe how much this little baby of mine has grown and I'm so grateful and appreciative of the blessings and just wanted to share a bit of my journey and my feelings about everything!

As I've shared many times before, this isn't my first attempt at blogging. I used to run a wedding blog for over 3 years. I started that blog after working as a wedding planning assistant in Manhattan for a few years. It was a very exciting job and I loved it for 5 years that I did it and at the time, I truly loved everything about weddings. But after working well over 100 weddings and blogging over 1,000, let's just say I experienced major burnout. I was blogging sometimes 2x to 3x daily and I felt like a hamster on a wheel. My wedding blog didn't have as many readers as I would have liked and I wasn't making any money. The key factor to this was my lack of passion and feeling pressure about pumping out new content when I didn't love what I was doing. Even though I still enjoy a nice wedding, I totally overworked myself and I fell out of love with my blog. When you aren't passionate about what you are writing and you are blogging for the wrong reasons, your readers will sense your indifference and as a result, they will stop reading. Authenticity is key when it comes to blogging. You truly have to believe in your words and there has to be truth in everything you do. You have to be true to yourself and your readers every single time you post new content, update social media, and every small little detail. It's about trust. For me, blogging is like gossiping with my friends while enjoying a few drinks. When I meet up with my friends, am I speaking fluff? Am I just talking for the sake of talking? Am I being a fake friend? No, no, and no. Same should hold true when blogging. Truth and authenticity are key and is a must have in our blogging community.

In my blog post here, I made 5 promises to myself and what I won't be doing with my new blog. I promised to:
  1. Not compare myself to others
  2. Not to check my stats every 10 minutes
  3. Not to follow someone else's lead
  4. Not to beat myself up over lack of readers or progress
  5. Not feel pressured or stressed
If I'm being honest, I have sometimes broken these promises from time to time. I am a type a girl who is very competitive with myself. At times, I have stalked my stats but then I talk myself off the ledge. Calm down Mel. The most important thing about my blog is connecting with others and documenting my journey and life. In my life I have such great passion for style, beauty, fashion, blogging, home decor, fitness, and all the randomness this beautiful world has to offer. If today I want to share my thoughts on a new bronzer, then I do! If tomorrow I want to share the news that I paid off two credit cards, then I will! I had no idea if my "no-niche" blog would be read by anyone except my best friends. (Hi Karen and Erica! *wave*) The main purpose was: to simply be me.

I'm so grateful to be able to say that since I started this blog (about seven months ago), it has just gone from strength to strength. I had no idea I was going to be able to reach and connect to so many people in such a short period of time. Just like in all aspects of life, I have learned from my previous mistakes and have made changes with this blog. If I don't feel like writing, then I don't. I only share things that I truly believe in. I am just so lucky that my darling readers have been so awesome to me.

This month alone I have:
  • Been nominated for a lovely Liebster Award by the awesome Donyelle
  • One of my favorite bloggers, Fun Cheap or Free, (who I gushed about here) asked me to be a guest blogger! It was such an honor for me. I squealed when I got the email. See my article here!
  • IT Cosmetics retweeting my post and asking their followers to check it out! Then....they asked if they could feature one of my Instagram pics on their feed.
  • Kiehl's France Instagram feed asked to feature one of my pics.
  • Lush and Josie Maran Cosmetics thanked me for posts
  • I'm connecting with more bloggers than ever
I know these are probably small accomplishments for huge major bloggers, but to me..it truly means the world. After a previous blog behind and feeling like I failed and abandoned my baby, I took a leap of faith and started something from scratch. Many of my friends advised against it. Why don't I just create a lifestyle series on my wedding blog? Why not just add more beauty posts? In my heart, I knew it was the right decision to start something new and work my way from the bottom again. Today, I have absolutely no regrets. I listened to my gut and it hasn't failed me.

Thank you sooo much to all of my wonderful readers. I am truly grateful and appreciative of the support and you taking the time out of your day and read what I have to say. You don't have to do it and yet you do.

Thank you. xo

Chanel Soleil Tan de Chanel Review

6:00:00 AM

Chanel Soleil Tan de Chanel from The Gossip Darling

Hello darlings!! Hope you all had a great weekend. First day of Spring yesterday and it was freezing in New York. Come on Spring!

I truly can't gush enough over Chanel's Soleil Tan de Chanel. Quite honestly, it's the holy grail of products and it's worth every penny of the $50 price tag. My Mom and I stopped by a Macy's counter totally on a mission to pick up this product. After soooo many beauty bloggers and YouTube vloggers recommended it, I wanted to see what the fuss was about. I mean, we all know Chanel is the definition of chic, elegance, and luxury but did this product live up to the Chanel reputation? The results: YES YES YES! (Can you tell I love it?)

Chanel Soleil Tan de Chanel from The Gossip Darling

The wonderful lady at the counter was super informative and let's just say, she 100% knew what she was doing. She answered every question I had and sat me down in a chair so I can see this baby in action. I'm obsessed with contouring and highlighting and it makes a total difference in my overall look. I've tried both cream and powder formulas. Which product I use is 100% dependent on the season and what's happening with my skin. Lately, I have been having a lot of acne breakouts so I've been having to use Proactiv everyday. My Proactiv routine totally helps solve the acne issue but it also makes my skin super dry. When my skin is extremely dry, it starts to flake and get patchy. In this case, I switch from a powder to a cream based bronzer.

Chanel Soleil Tan de Chanel from The Gossip Darling

Chanel's Soleil Tan de Chanel is excellent quality and smells absolutely amazing. Every time I apply it, I always comment on how good it smells! The scent is very light though and definitely isn't too overpowering. The formula is highly pigmented and a little bit goes a long way. It's 100% buildable so I recommended starting off with a little bit and then continue to add if you need to. When I first tried the product at the Macy's counter, the lighting was absolutely terrible. My Mom and I kept adding layer after layer because the lighting in the store was so dark that we couldn't see much results on our faces. The look we did see was subtle so we went with it. When we left the store and were in natural light, we were like whoa! Hahaha. We still absolutely loved the look but it was a bit too much. Our method is to take baby steps! The formula is very creamy and smooth and is great for every complexion.

Chanel Soleil Tan de Chanel from The Gossip Darling

Our salesperson recommended we use this brush, but I decided to use my BareMinerals Smoothing Face brush. I still get the same effect and I saved some money because I already had the brush. The partnership between these two is amazing and make everything smooth and easily blendable.

Chanel Hydra Beauty and Le Volume de Chanel Mascara || The Gossip Darling

There's nothing more that I love than free products. Our lady was so sweet and offered some free samples. She gave me the Hydra Beauty Creme Riche and Le Volume de Chanel Mascara. She totally knew what she was doing because I totally fell in love with both products. Hahaha. They both have been officially added to my wish list!

Have you tried Chanel's Soleil Tan de Chanel? I would love to hear from you!

Lush The Kiss Lip Scrub Review

Lush The Kiss Lip Scrub Review from The Gossip Darling

Happy Saturday loves!! It's sooo nice here in NYC and I am so excited for Spring. Come on baby!!

I'm a Lush newbie and have been using some of their products since February. Since I'm always reading blogs, Lush comes highly recommended by a lot of other beauty bloggers and I was starting to feel left out. So as I was wandering around the mall, I just stopped in and decided to give the brand a try. And....I am so loving it!

First up, Lush Lip Scrub. I happened to shop the store before Valentine's Day so I picked up their limited edition The Kiss lip scrub. They actually still sell it online and it's so cute because there are little hearts in the scrub. I'm super in love with just the cuteness of this product!

Let me tell you the reasoning behind buying this scrub. Winters in NYC are terrible. It's soooo cold, windy, and sometimes we are knee deep in snow. The main issue is...I have to walk everywhere. I walk from my apartment to the subway, wait for my train, walk to work, walk to the gym, walk back to the subway, wait for the train, walk back to my apartment. I think you get the hint. Lots of walking, lots of time outside, and loads of time to damage my skin, especially my lips. My lips get super dry, cracked, starts to bleed most times, and the skin flakes. Attractive right? I try to use lip balms as much as I can but sometimes it's still not enough. Recently, I started to notice my lips flaking and peeling a lot more and since I love to wear my lip glosses and lipsticks, my final lip look wasn't looking as smooth as I would have liked. (Especially with this matte lip trend currently happening) I checked out Pinterest and there were loads of DIY recipes for scrubs. I'm sure many are awesome but sometimes I hesitate with DIY because they can be messy and all the ingredients can cost the amount of this $9.95 Lush lip scrub. Also, the main concern I had was moisture. I didn't want to make my own sea salt lip scrub and end up drying my lips out more. Ok on to the review now that you have the background!

I love love love this scrub sooo much. As soon as I opened this baby up, I had to smell it. It smells amazingggg and it's my favorite color...PINK! So sweet and good enough to eat. You can actually scrub you lips with it and then lick it off! It's made of caster sugar, fine sea salt, organic cocoa butter, some essential oils, and other natural goodness. I use this product every morning right after I brush my teeth. It leave my lips feeling smooth, soft, polished, and moisturized. It's the perfect way to prep before I apply my lipstick because it definitely exfoliates my lips. The main reason I love it: it doesn't dry out my lips! It'll also last you forever because you only need to use a pea-sized amount. I've been using it daily since early February and I have definitely noticed an improvement with my lip condition. Thank goodness!

Have you used any Lush lip scrubs? I would love to hear from you!

Enjoy your weekend!

Avon Eyeshadow Primer Review

10:30:00 AM

I have a major crush. Like a huge crush. Let's start from the beginning. I love eyeshadow. I have way too many palettes than I'll ever need and have every color under the sun. It doesn't matter what brand or type of eyeshadow I'm using, there's one thing that's a must have for me: eyeshadow primer.

Eyeshadow primer is super important for two reasons… First, it evens out any discoloration in the eyelid area. By creating an "even look" first, your eyeshadow will look more consistent. Secondly, it'll help prevent creasing! This is a major problem for me at times. I'm not sure if I have "greasy" eyelids or run around too much during the day but sometimes my eyeshadow becomes mobile and looks like an absolute mess towards the middle of the day. It can just start "melting" which is not a cute look. Of course I want to do everything in my power to prevent this from happening. Since I started using eyeshadow primer, its become easier to control this issue. Avon's eyeshadow primer also happens to be waterproof so it's super helpful when I'm working out. A girl still wants to look cute when at the gym!

For over 5 years, I was using MAC's 'Pro Longwear" Paint Pots as an eyeshadow primer. My fave color to use is Painterly which is a nice nude shadow and doesn't conflict with any of my eyeshadows. I still use MAC but Avon's primer is a cheaper alternative and works just as well in my opinion. Avon's primer is only available in light beige but I think it's natural even to use with any skin tone. You can even use it alone if you prefer to keep your makeup look natural. The texture is a lot creamier and softer than MAC's but I get the same results. I prefer to apply this over my eyelids with my fingers because it's easier and I have more control. But sometimes I do apply with a cream shadow brush. With a $7.99 price tag, it's super affordable and definitely worth a try.

Do you use eyeshadow primer? What's your favorite?

Ulta's 21 Days of Beauty & What I'm Buying

Ulta's 21 Days of Beauty & What I'm Buying by The Gossip Darling
Happy Sunday loves!!

I love shopping at Ulta. I'm still kinda a newbie because I shop at Sephora most of the time but the main reason why I am loving Ulta more at the moment is because they offer amazing deals. Last year I bought Tarte's Maracuja C Brighter Eye Treatment at 50% off and it's one of my favorite eye creams ever. I also bought PÜR COSMETICS 4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Powder Foundation SPF 15 at half off and it's another amazing product at a great price. I also discovered one of my favorite primers, Too Faced Primed & Poreless Pure Primer, because it was only 12 bucks! Let's just say I am a huge fan of their 21 Days of Beauty deals.

This morning I woke up to the most amazing email in my inbox...the sales start today! It's running from March 13th to April 2nd. Yay! Yay! Yay! <happy dance> I quickly scrolled through the email and I have my list going! Here's what I want...

1. IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Silk HD Anti-Aging Micro-Powder is $12 today! I recently shared my IT Cosmetics wish list with you all and I bought the IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Pressed Silk Airbrush Powder from QVC but I am going for this baby too. I always set my makeup before I leave the house so this will never go to waste. Also, in the long run I am saving money because I can always store these. PS- I also have a secret. Some of my friends are beauty maniac like me so I buy things at a good price throughout the year so I can give them away at Christmas or for birthdays. I make them look super pretty is a mug or bag.

2. Butter London's Patent Shine 10x Lacquer is going to be all mine. This nail polish usually cost from $15 to $18 but they will be $10 on the 23rd! I am on the hunt for "Mums the Word".

3. Laura Geller's Baked Blush-n-Brighten will be coming home with me on March 29th. The price is going down from $28 to $15. Wooo hooo. I have been dying to try Laura Geller makeup for awhile now but I usually wait for a sale or samples before I try something new. (I hate buying something at full price and then you end up hating it...) I checked out this gem and all of the colors look amazing and it's going to be really difficult for me to choose one. The reviews are amazing so let's see how I like it.

4. Lorac's Riesling Romance Eye Shadow Palette is filled with neutral colors which is perfect for everyday wear with creams, golds and browns. You really can't go wrong. It's perfect for work and for a relaxing weekend. On March 30th, this jewel will be $15! Yes please!

5. Too Faced Sweethearts Perfect Flush Blush will be making an appearance in my makeup bag soon. The heart shaped packaging is just too cute to walk away from and I love Too Faced products. Their cosmetics are such great quality and the colors are always so pigmented. I know this blush is going to last me awhile.

This isn't one of the 21 days of beauty deals but it's a hot buy. I am going to be doing a full review on the blog soon but I love Tarte's Maracuja Oil. It's so moisturizing and makes my skin feel amazing. From $48, this baby is down to $25 so I will be picking up 2 bottles. I also want to try Tarte's Double Duty Beauty Empowered Hybrid Gel Foundation. I have never used a gel foundation and I am sooo curious. I love Tarte so I'm hoping they don't fail me. This gel foundation promises to be full coverage and last 12 hours. I'm going for it!

Will you be shopping during Ulta's 21 Days of Beauty? What's on your wish list?

My Essential Work Out Gear

9:37:00 AM

My Work Out Uniform

Hi darlings!!

Hope you're all having a wonderful weekend! The weather has been beyond amazing here in NYC! Just perfection! Since the New Year, I have been on a mission to improve my health and lifestyle.

Since the beginning of Lent, I haven't had any sweets or alcohol. It 100% hasn't been easy but the weight has just been falling off. I am so happy with the results so far! I feel so inspired and will definitely continue on my healthy path. While I'm working out and being healthy, I also wanna look cute. Here's some work out gear inspiration...

1: A hoodie is key for me! I usually wear one when I am walking to and from the gym. Since I live in NYC, I sometimes feel a little weird walking around in my work out gear so I try to cover up a bit. It just makes sense for me to shower once I get to my apartment oppose to showering at the gym. (The shower lines after work are soooo long) I prefer to wear a black hoodie because I tend to throw them around and get them dirty. Sometimes they are hanging off my bike or off a treadmill. Black is the new black right?

2: I love wearing cute graphic tees or tanks to the gym. I like to show my personality a bit and have a laugh. Only good vibes right?

3: Since I wear black most times when working out, I like to throw in a pop of color. I usually add the pop with a bright sports bra. I happen to really be digging neon yellow lately. I find Nike to be my fave brand for sports bras because they last forever and are the best quality. My friends always have a laugh at me because they say they can see me from miles away walking to the gym wearing my brights.

4: Come on girls (and guys)...we all know a hair tie is key. Not only when working out but in all aspects of life. I always have a hair tie on at least one of my wrists. It's mandatory.

5: I don't have a separate gym bag and handbag. I just use one bag for everything so I love large totes. A large black tote is chic, stylish, and super practical. I just toss everything in there!

6: My parents bought me an Apple Watch for Christmas and I'm obsessed. I'll be sharing more thoughts about the Apple Watch in future posts but it's an absolute must have for me! I won't go home until I have gotten my 10,000 steps in for the day. This baby keeps track for me.

7: I have so many pairs of Nike sneakers. They are comfortable and never hurt my feet. They are stylish enough to wear outside of the gym too! I definitely wear them during my downtime.

8: Again, my love for Nike continues. A pair of black leggings match with everything and you can't see dirt or sweat so easily. Plus, I live in NYC so I don't want anything to look sheer. These will last you forever. Legit, I still have a pair of leggings from high school! (I'm 31...) These are perfecttt.

9: I purchased a neon pink S'well bottle from Bloomingdale's about 3 weeks ago and it was instant love. I am saving money because I am no longer buying water bottles on a daily basis, the color is super cute and fun, and it keeps my water cold for 12 hours!

My IT Cosmetics Wish List

My IT Cosmetics Wish List

Lately, I have been super obsessed with IT Cosmetics. This brand seems to be everywhere at the moment. All of my favorite beauty bloggers are raving about some of their awesome products and of course I don't to miss out. I want in on this fun! Here are some of the goodies on my IT Cosmetics wish list.

PS: All the photos above include the brushes because I usually order my beauty products from QVC and most times they sell the product and brushes for an extremely discounted price.

1. IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer with Collagen: This baby is going to help take away any redness, dark circles, or age spots around the eyes. I tend to be a little dark around the eye area so I wanna see if this lightens the area up! Yes, I never sleep enough and my dark circles don't lie but let's see if this concealer can hide the truth. It has a lot of anti-aging ingredients such as hydrolyzed collagen, and vitamins C and K. So you're treating your skin nicely as you cover those dark circles. It also promises to last all day. Win win right?

2.  IT Cosmetics Full Coverage SPF 50 CC Cream Illumination: I love my foundation to be full coverage but I hate looking cakey. After watching a demo of this foundation on Tuesday Night Beauty, I'm in love. It has the lightness of a cc cream but it's full coverage so it'll cover up all of my imperfections. (And I have many) It also has SPF 50 so it'll protect my skin from the sun. With Spring and Summer around the corner, I want to make sure the UV rays don't damage my skin. Since I'm in my 30s, I love that it contains "antiaging ingredients including hyaluronic acid, peptides, hydrolyzed collagen, and silk, CC+ Illumination Cream". Let's see if this becomes a favorite.

3. IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Redness Anti-Aging Cream: Can you tell I'm obsessed with anti-aging makeup? Yea, just a bit. This goodie promises to neutralize redness and many red-toned skin discolorations. I don't suffer from much redness but when I have my acne breakouts or when my scarring becomes a little too much to cover with my regular foundation, I plan to use this under my foundation. It's really hard for my foundation to cover the redness from my acne when my skin is irritated and damaged. You can wear this cream alone or under your makeup. When my acne is on a mission to ruin my day, at least I have backup.

4. IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Pressed Silk Airbrush Powder: I always always always set my makeup. It's super important especially during the warmer months. If I don't, then my makeup is completely melted off my face after a few hours. I use a few different setting powders now but they are all loose powders. I love them but sometimes it can be a bit messy. Most times in the morning, I am late and in a rush so I think using a pressed powder will make my life easier. No mess in the sink! This powder promises to reduce the appearance of pores and fine lines. How awesome does the brush look though? It's so fluffy and pretty! This combo looks amazing and I can't wait to try.

Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation Review

Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation Review by The Gossip Darling

Happy Monday darlings! Hope you all had fab weekends. I am sharing my thoughts on one of my all time favorite foundations, Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation. I've been using this baby on and off for years and it has become one of my beauty staples. Let's go in!

I tend to go on spending splurges and there's nothing more I love to splurge on than makeup. One very late night while watching QVC, they were showcasing Tarte's Amazonian Clay Foundation and there was a crazy good deal, buy the foundation and get the brush for free. How can you go wrong? So I made my purchase and as soon as my package arrived, I tore the box open and rushed to try my new foundation. I wasn't disappointed.

Heads up, I love full coverage foundations and I have combination skin with acne issues. Sometimes on the weekends I will go lighter and use a BB cream but most times I use very full coverage foundations. If you are looking for something sheer and "light", this isn't the foundation for you. If you are looking for lighter coverage but want to try Tarte's Amazonian clay foundation, then I would give their Amazonian Clay BB Tinted Moisturizer a go.

This time around, I purchased two super sized foundations and their special edition deco airbrush buffer foundation brush for $54 plus shopping and handling. That's crazy cheap considering each foundation is $39 and the brush alone is $34. (Thank you QVC!)

Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation Review by The Gossip Darling

My shade is medium honey and it's just perfect for me. I apply very little of this foundation on the back of my hand and then I dip the brush into it. A little bit goes a very long way and it's better to use a little in the beginning and then you can build from there. This foundation can make you look cakey very easily (just my opinion) so it's better to use a little and then build. The brush is super soft and I just love the feel of it on my face. I apply the foundation using circular motions around my face and it almost feels like I'm getting a mini massage. It blends very easily and has SPF 15 so it provides a little protection from the sun. My makeup does not move at all after a 14 hour work day. Sometimes I even work out and my makeup hasn't moved! (Hahaha it cracks me up!) It will covers all flaws and imperfections and it actually helps me save a few steps because I don't also use my concealer. If you have any redness, blemishes, or spots, this foundation will help you keep the imperfections secret.

For those who want to try to get a lighter coverage using this foundation, I would recommend using a Beauty Blender instead to the airbrush buffer brush. I also would recommend using a primer before applying this foundation because a primer makes your skin smoother and makeup blends more easily.

Tarte offers 25 shades so you'll be able to find your perfect match. The formula also contains vitamins A and E as well as mineral pigments. We also love keeping animals safe so this is vegan friendly and oil free too.

Have a great week!

Beauty Goodies Used Up in February!

Beauty Goodies Used Up in February! From The Gossip Darling blog

Happy Wednesday darlings! The week is half over! Woooo hoooo! Today I am sharing all the fab products I tried and finished in February. I have soooo many products so if I finish something, I'm always super proud of myself. Let's get to it...

1. Too Faced's Prime and Poreless Pure Primer: I've gone through 3 tubes of this primer so far. I have no idea why I'm so obsessed with primers. I definitely notice a difference with my skin if I use a primer. My skin looks more moisturized and smooth. I also use less of my foundation because it's easier to apply to my skin after I've applied this primer. (I save money!) It's also 100% oil free and great for those with sensitive skin. Perfect for me. Will I purchase this again? Sure will.

2. Maybelline's Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circle Treatment Concealer: Whoa that's a long name! It's all good though. Honestly, this isn't my all time favorite concealer but is great for being a drugstore find. I purchased it from Ulta and I ended up buying one and getting another product at 50% off. Who doesn't like cheap finds? It's super easy to apply and it makes it through an entire day. To apply, just turn the dial of the micro-corrector applicator and you'll see the concealer come up to the sponge. I draw triangles under each eye after I've applied my foundation and then use my dupe beauty blender to blend it out. (I pat the concealer under my eye area and never drag the blender. You don't want to waste product and essentially wipe everything off.) This concealer is light, super pigmented, and will definitely brighten up your face. Will I purchase this again? Definitely.

3. Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue: I'm soooo in love with this product. My full review of this product will be on the blog any day now! I can't get enough and I've been through tubes and tubes of this beauty. I use it for two reasons: as a base/primer and then apply my foundation or I use it as a foundation and apply 2 layers. During the week, I totally love a full coverage foundation but during the weekend, I love using bb creams or something super light. This beauty can be applied with your fingers or with the smoothing face brush. I have the brush myself and use it for so many things. It's a pretty awesome brush. Complexion Rescue is a super hydrating bb/cc/tinted moisturizer and with the SPF 30 protection, I'll be using this product for a very long time.

4. IPKN Flash Cream Radiant Primer: I wrote all about my love for this product here.  I only had a sample of this primer but it definitely made an impression on me and I will be purchasing the full sized product as soon as it's back in stock.

5. Bare Minerals Mineral Veil Broad Spectrum SPF 25: This powder is an oldie but goodie to me. I use it to set my makeup and I've used it on and off for a few years now. It's not my absolute favorite but it does the trick. It's Bare Minerals so you know the ingredients won't harm your skin. It has SPF 25 which I love because it'll protect my skin from the sun.

6. SuperSmile Whitening Pre-Rinse: I've been using the SuperSmile teeth whitening system for a few months now and I am still obsessed with it. Please read my full review here. It's super easy to use and only takes 2 1/2 minutes. I've noticed a difference and my teeth are definitely whiter. I definitely will be repurchasing this!
